Improvement of the energy efficiency of buildings: Thermal characterization of an ecological building material based on industrial cotton waste

The aim of this work is to study the thermal characteristics a concrete reinforced with cotton waste fiber for building construction. used was formulated Dreux-Gorisse method and has compressive strength 14.13 MPa. fiber-reinforced contains 0.1% 0.8% fibers by mass. properties were determined asymmetric hot plane DesProTherm device. Other also computed. results show that density concretes decreases percentage fibers, from 2.205 t/m 3 without 2.001 containing fibers. conductivity diffusivity decrease they range respectively 1.021 W/m.K 0.448 5.64 10 -7 m²/s 2.19 m²/s. As capacity, it almost constant (1810 1800 kJ/m .K) then increases progressively up 2046 .K fiber. These incorporation fibres improves concrete. use material would provide better conditions inside buildings, consequently reduction energy consumption.
